It's been a while that I wrote and much has changed in the past couple months!
I have moved to Denver, CO, and new city means new art studio! I found a great little art studio at an art collective called GRACe. Even the name is perfect, as it truly feels like it's divine grace that brought me here.
Right now, as you can see in the photos below, it's a bit camping style because most of my supplies/furnitures are still in Arizona. But that doesn't keep me from painting...sitting on the floor with a small easel on a plastic bin! It feels great to have a space 100% dedicated to art. I come in the door, first thing I do is change into my comfortable painting clothes. Then I put on some inspiring music and move my body for a few minutes to get the energy going before I start (lately I've been listening to Anilah, so inspiring to go deep within). In this space, I don't eat, I don't take phone calls, ... I do sit and stare at the wall for an extended period of time once in a while :-)
The sense of community there is palpable. We have group shows once a month for First Fridays...and we even have a community chicken coop (free eggs!!)
There is also a cool common room (4th photo) and a space for workshops, which means I'm scheduling upcoming Intuitive Painting Classes as we speak.
I'm already planning all the ways this place will become magical. First open studio on November 3rd - you are all invited.
